My Quarter 2 Journey in ICT

Learning about HTML coding has been an exciting journey into the world of web development. HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, is the foundation of all websites, providing the structure for everything we see online. From headings and paragraphs to links and images, HTML tags play a crucial role in organizing content and creating functional web pages.

One of the most rewarding aspects of learning HTML is its simplicity and logic. Each tag, like <h1> for headings or <a> for links, has a clear purpose, making it easy to build and understand basic web pages. This logical structure has taught me the importance of precision and attention to detail, as even small errors, like a missing tag, can disrupt the entire page.

HTML has also shown me how creativity and collaboration shape web design. While HTML provides structure, it works with CSS for styling and JavaScript for interactivity, emphasizing how different technologies come together to create engaging websites. Experimenting with tags and layouts has made me appreciate the blend of creativity and functionality in web development.

Overall, learning HTML has been both challenging and rewarding. It has given me the tools to create simple web pages and sparked a desire to learn more about web design and coding. This foundational knowledge is a stepping stone toward exploring more advanced technologies and building even more dynamic and interactive websites.

Spark the end of Violence

Republic Act No. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995)

RA 7877 addresses sexual harassment in workplaces, schools and other institutions. It defines sexual harassment as unwelcome sexual moves or requests for sexual favors, or other sexual behaviors that affect work or educational performance, create a hostile environment, or result in unfavorable treatment for rejecting such acts. Employers and administrators are tasked with implementing policies and taking action against offenders.

The law emphasizes the accountability of those in authority, such as employers, supervisors, or school officials, who exploit their power to commit sexual harassment. Victims are encouraged to report incidents, and penalties include fines and imprisonment for violators.

This law aims to serve protection to potential victims of sexual harassment. This ensures safer and more respectful environments for workers and students.

Republic Act No. 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2013)

RA 10364 strengthens the fight against human trafficking, expanding the scope of RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003). It criminalizes recruitment, transportation, or harboring of people through coercion, deceit, or abuse of power for exploitation, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and organ trade. The law covers trafficking both within and outside the Philippines.

This expanded version imposes harsher penalties for offenders, including life imprisonment and hefty fines for aggravated cases. It also protects trafficking victims by providing legal assistance, temporary shelter, and rehabilitation.

The law underscores the shared responsibility of government, civil society, and individuals in combating human trafficking and safeguarding human rights.
